Money Luck in the Southeast

Image:
I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of money. Becoming rich and prosperous is
probably a universal aspiration of the Chinese and most people everywhere. During the lunar new year, for example, the Chinese send cards that are printed in red (signifying an auspicious occasion) or gold (signifying wealth) with the words Kung Hei Fatt Choy or “congratulations and may you become more prosperous.” Perhaps the best thing about being wealthy is the ability to use your wealth to help your family and others. Many feng shui guidelines focus on how to acquire material wealth and are not difficult to apply. Today we will look at the importance of the southeast direction and how to improve money luck in your home and/or office.

It’s not difficult to enhance your wealth once you take care of your southeast direction. It goes without saying that the area must be kept clean and without clutter to allow the free flow of energy. Check for poison arrows and be sure to remove or deflect all negative energy from this corner.

Using the Pa Kua – Protect and Energize the Southeast: The trigram for this direction (based on the Later Heaven Pa Kua) has two solid yang lines above a broken yin line (picture here). This image represents the wind scattering seeds to all corners of the earth. The seeds fall into the soil and begin to germinate leading to plant growth, blooming and eventually more seeds that are again scattered by the wind, so the cycle of prosperity continues over and over again. This is the direction or corner of your home or office that represents wealth; thus, you must ensure that the feng shui is good here. If not, inauspicious money luck will affect all members of the household.

Apply the 5-Element Theory: If you are not familiar with this theory, please click this link for my special report. In the meantime, follow these instructions based on the theory of 5-element analysis. The element of the Southeast is wood and is symbolized by plants, flowers and all things made of wood. This area also benefits from water since wood is produced by water, so a waterfall or fountain is good in the southeast. Wood is exhausted by fire and destroyed by metal so avoid using these elements or objects that represent them in the southeast.

is a good choice
Going a Little Deeper: If we look a little more closely into the element analysis, we find that the southeast is represented not just by wood, but it is small wood. This implies what kind of wood we should use here and that if we are using water to enhance, it should not be too large as this will drown the wood. Energize with a lot of smaller plants and choose a smaller water feature rather than a large one. The plants should be healthy, green and if possible, choose ones with broad leaves rather than spikey ones. I highly recommend the Chinese Jade plant which has succulent leaves that represent wealth. Another suggestion is a small orange tree as oranges are representative of gold. Avoid bonsais or cactus in the southeast. Remember to remove any dead or wilted plants to avoid stagnant and yin energy here.

Regarding water features for the southeast, the small movement of water is considered most auspicious. It can be a waterfall in the southeast of your garden or a fountain or well-lit aquarium with bubbling oxygenators in the southeast corner of your house or office.

Good luck!
Lillian
