Colourful Ways You Can Enhance Your Feng Shui

 

While colours represent the five elements of feng shui (water, wood, fire, earth and metal), they are also indicative of sacred energies associated with the deities, worldly gods and celestial realms that can help lift your moods through the coming days and weeks of this year.

White is the colour of appeasement – it pacifies your mood and is the sum of all colours.  This is the colour of metal and indicates the patriarch, the leader and essence of power and authority.  Its gemstone is the hard diamond or zirconia.  Wear white to important meetings.

Yellow is the colour of increase. It brings new knowledge, wealth and success into your life.  It signifies the earth element and symbolizes jewels that bring prosperity -its gemstone is the yellow sapphire. Think of the sunshine and the warmth and power of its dazzling bright light.

Blue is also a water colour, but it is less intense than black and is the colour of calming.  This colour soothes the soul which is why it is often used in hospitals and school settings.  It evokes new beginnings and a fresh start and its gemstone is the blue sapphire. In 2021 there is an overabundance of water in the paht chee chart bringing a lot of competition, thus it is recommended not to wear too much of the colours blue and black this year.

Green is the colour of new wood and is the colour of growth.  Dark green evokes the energy of old wood, while light green is like soft, new grass.  The gemstone is the emerald, bringing fresh success.

Orange is the colour of happiness and hope.  It is also the colour of asset wealth.  There should never be too much of this colour around as it can subdue the good qualities of all the other colours.

Brown is the colour of old wood and suggests stability and security.  It also represents strength and experience and thus can be relied on to keep the home safe and sound.

Purple is the colour of satisfying completion and immense good fortune.  It signifies both fire and ice, so in terms of the five elements t is a combination of water and fire which creates steam and hence it is power.  When you pair purple with the colour silver, it brings money luck and when paired with gold it brings wealth.
