Most people today do not realize that they have the ability to send and receive chi (energy)
from the surroundings – from the sun, moon, plants, trees and flowers as well as from the home environment and other individuals. Energy can be negative or positive – weak or powerful - and our hands and bodies are sensitive to all. However, in order to connect to the energy field, we must also enlist help from our mind. Only when our minds tune in to the energy and we concentrate on receiving it, will the energy be transmitted.
Here’s What to Do:
Focus your thoughts and place both of your palms flat on the wall and slowly move them along in an anti-clockwise direction. This will bring out past energy and as you do this exercise you will begin to absorb the feeling being transmitted by it. If the past energy is good you’ll feel happy while negative energy transmits fear, anger and depression. Go around the walls of each room at least once in order to get a feeling for the energy.
Remedies:
If you feel exhausted, your home is probably sucking your personal energy since it is hungry for fresh yang energy. Open the windows and give it a sunshine bath and turn on the bright lights for a few hours at night to correct this condition.
If you feel angry, depressed or frustrated you will need to cleanse the energy of your home. It may be from left over energy of another resident or from an old argument. You can cleanse the air using a singing bowl.

If you start to feel nauseous or get a stomach or ear ache or your throat is sore you can be sure there is sickness chi around and you must use incense to cleanse the space.
You are a powerful human being and knowing how to sense the energy around you gives you great advantage. You can use this knowledge it at home, in the office or just about anywhere. Remember that only when you utilize the power of your mind will you be able to send and receive energy.
