Sometimes you have to take a step away to really rest…as in do nothing. No schedule to
keep, no appointments, no plans, just nothing. Just time. Time to do what you want, to rest and to give your brain time to just be.
If you have kids, especially young ones, it’s harder to do, takes more planning, but can still be done.
I just returned from a week at the beach. Well, actually, more like 10 days because I hosted my top clients at a private 2-day Mastermind, before my vacation, but a full week of nothing but sunshine, walks on the beach, reading, good food, and some meditating to the sounds of ocean waves crashing and nature. I haven’t felt this relaxed and refreshed in a very long time.
My big take-away that I wanted to share with you today is we all have the choice of how we respond to things every day, not just when we’re relaxed, on vacation, or feeling less stressed than we normally do. We can always choose to be aware and in the moment, or we can choose to just react like we always do. Being conscious is a bit of a harder choice…until you get to the point of just living your life like that every day.

I’ll be sharing more photos and things I observed while I was away in the coming weeks. It’s funny how nature has a way of showing us so many lessons…we just have to be watching and listening.
I’d like to challenge you to take a few minutes today to just sit and listen or look out the window and be with what you see, feel and hear. It might just surprise you – and you might even be able to apply it to your business.
