During the holiday season, there are so many wonderful choices for lights and ways to
create auspicious light offerings to the Buddhas or to the God or Deity that you worship. Many religions use candles or electric lights on their altars as offerings. Nothing makes me happier than placing candles on my altar or decorating with the lovely small twinkling lights that seem to make my altar come alive. And frankly speaking, I keep these lights on my altars all through the year, not just in the holiday season.
Remember that your home is not just an ordinary place to sleep, eat and relax or work in. It is a living, breathing mass of energy that is not static. It is constantly changing, and it directly mirrors you; when you feel good, your space will reflect this. Your home is your sanctuary from the pressures of the external world – a place to safely recharge your energy and connect to the source. It is here where you can tune into your inner spirit and open pathways for luminous cosmic energy to flow and mingle with the material energy that is already present. Thus, as you make your light offerings, think of the elevated level of spiritual frequency that you are creating. Your home is no longer just ordinary space, it is now sacred space.
Love,
Lillian
