The Four Cosmic Elements Water, Fire, Earth & Air

If you are a student of feng shui, you know how important it is to have a good understanding
of the cycles of the five elements – fire, earth, metal, water and wood and how much we use this knowledge in our daily practice of feng shui.  The spiritual dimension of feng shui, however, deals with the four cosmic elements which are water, fire, earth and air.  Dealing with these elements is different than when you work with elements of the physical space an knowing how and what to do is critical.

Cosmic Water:  This is a wealth source. When you place a water feature in your home in the correct location you activate wealth in that space.  Note that this also activates cosmic water if you place something sacred near it such as a mantra plaque or the White Dzambhala Buddha of Wealth for example.

Cosmic Fire:  This is a purifying source.  It brings fame and glory when activated with a light or candle offered to a sacred deity such as Buddha or the Goddess Tara.  You will be amazed at the power of lighting just one candle per day in this manner.

Cosmic Earth: This is a stabilizing source that also brings abundance.  The best way to activate cosmic earth chi is similar to activating earth chi on the material plane, by displaying colourful crystal balls. Crystals infused with mantras also work extremely well.  Once created, this type of energy helps with stability and guards against reversals of fortune.

Cosmic Air:  This is a source of success and happiness.  These winds around you carry your thoughts either sky high or down to the bowels of the earth. It is most important to appease the cosmic air deities so that you receive gentle breezes and not hurricane strength energies.  Create positive space by appeasing the cosmic protectors around your home and in your garden.

The cosmic elements are different.  Cosmic water and fire for example are the action elements controlled by cosmic forces, so they can be extremely destructive …or purifying.  Water and fire can be our allies or destroyers.  The spirits of the cosmic realms are controlled by powerful deities who are special beings of the cosmic universe, they are not gods.  There are a great many of these cosmic worldly types who rule over the land of space and sky from their cosmic abodes…and they need to be appeased regularly.

Offer incense regularly

The best way is to offer incense to the local spirits and protectors – this not only cleanses your ordinary space but transforms it into a sacred space.  This ensures that the cosmic elements are appeased and will not harm you.  You will find that you encounter few obstacles in life and that success in various endeavors is not blocked.  This is an easy and simple ritual and you will be surprised at how quickly it works.
