Becoming wealthy and prosperous is a big part of the psyche of most people and

many of the feng shui guidelines focus on it. In feng shui, we can use the 5-Element Theory to determine the proper use of each of the five elements when activating for wealth and prosperity. Choose plants with succulent leaves

Wood is the element to focus on when you want to energize for wealth and the corner is Southeast. This is also known as the “small wood” sector and the best way to get things moving is with plenty of plants, especially smaller ones. Naturally, the plants should be green, healthy and robust and there are some plants that work faster and better than others.

Good Fortune Plants: Feng shui recommends broad-leaved plants that look healthy and green. The Chinese Jade plant is a good one with succulent leaves that suggest wealth. Lime plants with lots of fruit suggest a successful harvest while oranges suggest a tree that is full of gold. All of these will work according to your preference. If you use cut flowers, ensure they are always fresh since wilting, dead or dying plants signify negative energy and loss.

Avoid these: You will not want to use stunted plants like the Bonsai in this area although they can be very beautiful and exquisite, they do not represent “abundant” growth which is what we are after. Cactus and prickly plants with spiky leaves are also not a good choice.

You should also avoid metal objects in the southeast as metal is the element that destroys wood. Don’t use metal containers for plants or flowers here.

Add water in the Southeast

Other Things You Can Do: In addition to plants, you can use other objects made of wood in the southeast along with water. Since in the productive cycle teaches that water produces wood, consider using a small fountain or aquarium here or even a picture suggesting water and/or fish to activate the southeast and attract wealth luck.

These suggestions are not difficult and are easy to do. You’ll feel the difference almost immediately when you activate your SE this way. It goes without saying that it is of utmost importance to keep this sector clear and uncluttered so that the energy is able to move freely.
