Double Your Luck with Taoist Double Goodness

 

It’s quite easy to incorporate the Taoist concept of “double goodness” into your feng shui practice. When you know that a particular number, direction, element or colour brings you luck, then doubling it will bring you twice that amount of luck – like double success, double wealth and so on.  Here are a few examples.

Double Goodness Days: If the number 8 is good for you, then the 8th day of the 8th month is your double goodness day. This would be a good day to move into a new home, get married or begin a renovation project. Applying the double goodness concept to your selection of lucky days is one of the simplest ways to find a day whose chi is in affinity with your own chi.

Locate your bedroom in your love direction

Double Goodness Directions: You can apply this double goodness concept to Eight Mansions Feng Shui. If a certain direction is auspicious for you (according to your kua number), then having it as your sitting and facing direction brings you double good fortune. For example, if NORTH is your romance/love direction and your house faces north, locate your bedroom in the north sector of your house to enjoy double romance luck. If your wealth direction happens to be SOUTHWEST, locate your home office in the Southwest sector and make sure you sit facing southwest, and so on. Double Goodness Using Your Birth Season: You can also apply the double goodness concept to the season of your birth. For example, if you were born in the spring, your lucky direction is EAST. Your house faces east, and your room choice should be the east sector with your head facing east.
