Get Connected!

While the space and time dimensions of feng shui are important, they only scratch the
surface of more mystical Chinese traditions. On the other hand, spiritual feng shui empowers the opening of our mind and body to shifts in the chi. This is one of the most exciting dimensions of spiritual feng shui – the mysterious connections between mankind and the cosmic chi of the universe. Spiritual feng shui is inner feng shui – a set of principles and practices that produce shifts in self-awareness that can and will improve the way we interact with the surrounding environment. The common thread that connects us to our environment is chi – the life force that we describe as energy.

Spiritual feng shui embraces the whole mysterious world of “magic” that deals with the empowerment and the opening of one’s mind and body to shifts in chi. This involves developing expertise in breathing, meditative and visualization practices. With years of practice, the reading of and awareness of energy becomes second nature – automatic! The mind manifests energy in thousands of different ways, and spiritual feng shui allows you to tune into the chi and understand the workings of the universe and their manifestations. You become part of the cosmic universe.

In fact, with practice, your understanding can be so accurate, and so stunning in its veracity that you may be tempted to call it “magic”. This goes back to the shamanic heritage of ancient China, our cultural traditions and legends that are filled with stories of celestial masters who seemed to have such amazing yogic powers – they could fly through the sky or be in several places at one time, appearing and disappearing at will. In fact, there are many physical feats that go beyond what we know humans are traditionally capable of – these types of acts are attributed to empowered “chi”.

Every bit of good fortune and misfortune is related to auspicious or negative chi. Holy images, goddesses and Buddhas personify the highest manifestations of chi. When you have objects like these in your home, it symbolizes the ultimate of good chi. Remember to follow your own personal spiritual beliefs. Your images can be of Mother Mary, a special saint or from any belief that you follow – they don’t have to be Buddhist images. The key thing to remember is that these sacred images bring new and amazing insight into spiritual feng shui and will enhance any home.

Take the journey!

Love
