Early To Bed…Early to Rise

balance
Chi is the energy that circulates through your body – your sleeping, eating, talking, breathing
and ability to communicate and be happy are all affected by how the energy flows. So naturally it makes sense to tune into your own body, think about how you feel and why – then do what is necessary to keep things in balance. Remember that feng shui is all about balance – not only externally but inside your body as well.

The way the chi flows inside your body is a direct reflection of the quality of the energy that fuels it. How are you sleeping, eating, exercising and breathing – how are you refueling your body each day? Since chi is ever changing and dynamic, this quality of energy is always in flux, always changing depending on the fuel.

When there is a big energy loss, your body becomes weak – you are more vulnerable to disease and illness. Your activity, both physical and mental is not matched with enough intake of food, sleep and air. You begin to suffer from blockages that starve your life force.

Sleep to replenish your chi
Sleep to replenish your chi
SLEEP: This is the most vital energy input. You need rest. When you sleep you automatically replenish your chi and recharge your battery allowing all the meridian points to receive energy from the universe. If you don’t give your body enough rest, these vital points cannot be recharged and blocks will begin to form and harden over time, ultimately affecting the flow of chi. You can use treatments like acupuncture and acupressure to help dissolve such blockages but these are temporary solutions. You really need to make a conscious effort to get enough sleep to ensure that your energy flow is sufficient.

BREATHING & EATING: These are the other two methods of energy input. Good breathing is deep breathing and eating a proper, healthy diet allows your body to thrive and maintain optimum energy levels. Thus, the flow of chi in your body depends on your oxygen intake as well as the circulation of the bloodstream. Your bloodstream brings air and nutrients to the body while also assisting in the elimination of waste. When the flow or circulation of blood is impeded with blockages, real troubles begin and disease sets in. Your life force is slowing down.

Begin to focus on your internal flow of energy and the blocks that may be causing illness. Visualize the chi energy flowing through your body effortlessly and freely. Eat properly, breathe deeply and most importantly get plenty of rest. Keep your chi in balance to enjoy a vibrant and healthy life.
