The Best Colour Combinations for Good Business Feng Shui

WHITE: a pure bright white is a great yang colour and symbol of prosperity representing
gold and metal. It’s great to use on the walls and ceiling of your office or shop. Then you can add complimentary colours if you wish like red, green or blue in the appropriate compass directions.

BLACK: Black represents water and should not be used for ceilings or for roofs. It represents an overhanging cloud with water that is pressing down, so black above always represents danger. Don’t use black on your walls, ceilings or carpets. However, you can incorporate a black and white pattern in your office or shop décor.

RED: This is the colour of the SOUTH and shades of red on your south wall could bring more good fortune into your shop or business. Go for a nice warm shade that compliments other design elements in this area. And since the quarrelsome 3-star (a wood star) has flown to the south in 2019, use of the fire element in design will help to keep it under control.

BLUE: Like black, blue is the colour of water. Use it effectively in the EAST, SOUTHEAST and NORTH corners of your office or shop. However, do remember to use it sparingly as water should never be activated in large quantities.

GREEN: Green represents growth and is the colour of money. Typically, the EAST and SOUTHEAST are good areas to enhance with the colour green – adding more plants is an excellent way to do this.

Choose colours effectively

Naturally the choice of colours and design is up to you. I only caution you to keep the yin and yang elements in balance in order to create an inviting and happy shopping experience for your customers. Using pure bright white as a base colour is always a safe choice and then add the elements of other good fortune colours for success.
